National semiconductor was used with some very high performance, simple, the LM3886 audio power amplifier circuits. I need an extra amp, so I can bi-amping for some of my electrostatic speakers at home, so I tried the LM3886 chip. LM3886 amplifier was chosen because of the ease of use, performance, low distortion and a built-in protection against short circuits and thermal instability. It is not to remove much on an amp, but to ask. When driving electrostatic speakers, you can not provide much protection. There are people who have “golden ears” and have the feeling, provided that there is no system application note never good enough for them to “optimize” the “improvements” to make a claim. The problem is that most of them engineers and have no idea what the possible consequences of their “improvements” can be. For example, for a few years if these chips have been popular with the audiophile crowd, it was a hit at least line filter caps for “Best Sound” to use. We are talking about 500 uF on each power rail used for each LM3886 chip amplifier. This is clearly inadequate and leads to a distortion in the volume low enough that the power sags under the weight. The problem was that some of the golden ears seen the Power Supply Rejection IC Spec Large and thought that this meant that the chip could ripple to tolerate 10V power supply. The pendulum has swung the other way, and now many music lovers are sufficient amounts of stored energy in the efficient.
This project uses two chips mono amplifier, the LM1875 from National Semiconductor. This is probably the easiest chip to operate and easier to build from the minimalism Gainclone amplifier. It will be powered by a separate power supply.
LM1875 is pin-compatible replacement and direct chip-like ST Microelectronics, namely the TDA2030, TDA2040 TDA2050, and. It is understood, however, a little better in sound quality compared to the TDA.
